There are many ways of promoting a healthy body image which in turn makes you feel better about the way you look. For example, resisting the pressure to look like your friends and peers, and instead talking about it with someone you trust, such as a relative, older sibling or teacher. Knowing how to take care of your body is also very important. For example, eating the right foods, keeping active, sleeping and resting, playing and having fun, and keeping safe from harmful substances such as cigarettes, alcohol and drugs.
All of these things are important and will make you feel good about yourself. Stressing about the way you look or wanting to look like someone else will only make you feel worse.
