"Pray to receive great truth;
Pray to humble your spirit;
Pray to manage your destiny.
Keep your essence laden
with inspiration
to bring forth the mysteries
of abundance."
Very often people turn to prayer only when they are feeling powerless in a given situation. But prayer is not merely a plea to God for help in difficult times, but rather, a sincere act of searching with an open mind and heart.
To recognize prayer as a basic, receptive attitude is to recognize the true beauty of life itself, because such an attitude invites in a new vitality, strength and hope. Prayer, therefore, is a blessed and sacred gift that is given to us when we are given life. If the human ego doesn't obstruct it, it is the way that we seek an intimate and personal relationship with God. It is the way that we learn and grow. It is the way that we meet our true selves. It is the way we find harmony within ourselves and our surroundings.
Prayer can take on many appearances, ranging from meditation to the recitation of inspiring words, to fasting, to chanting, to art, dancing, song or more. Prayer, in its highest form, silences the chattering of the mind and alerts us to the voice of the God within, allows us to feel the embrace of God surrounding us, and allows us to sense the love of God that resides in and through us. Prayer is God's breathing in us.
It has been said that prayer is a great adventure because the God with whom we enter into a new relationship is greater than we are and defies all our calculations and predictions.
"Pray to receive great truth; Pray to humble your spirit; Pray to manage your destiny. Keep your essence laden with inspiration to bring forth the mysteries of abundance."
