Toilet Training Accidents

Life without mistakes is dull and utterly pointless, because in any case, we are always encouraged to learn from our mistakes. When it comes to teaching a child on how to do his potty, then there is so much need for us to be patient with them because, at their tender age, they are prone to make mistakes that may end up in unintended accidents.

Child toilet training may begin when the toddler is anywhere between the age of 18 and 36 months. This will however depend on the ability of the child to adapt to the changes from nappies to the potty. At this tender age, the child's mind is still not able to comprehend what is required of them and so accidents are likely to happen. As a parent and the child's caretaker, its only advisable that you deal with this with utmost calmness.

The worst mistake you could ever do is to scold your baby for toilet training mistakes. If you do so, it will affect the child's self esteem for days to come. If you show love and care to the child, then it will be easier for the child to come out of such situations as bed wetting. Punishing the baby is also no solution to the mistakes he is bound to make.

It is good to share ideas with other parents on how to deal with toilet training accidents. This way, you will be advised on what to do and you will see that you are not alone in this hard task. You might just discover that if your baby is having more rough times than smooth ones, he simply may not be ready for this training but do not give up as he will catch up with time.
