I was really surprised by the number of people who knew the importance of all natural dog food, while I walked around thinking I understood but really didn't. It wasn't until I changed veterinarians that I began learning what commercial dog food is made from and why all natural is the way to go. I have a word of advice however and it is meant to protect you from being taken advantage of. The word 'natural' is misused and not regulated to mean what it infers. This puts consumers like me, and even you, in a position to make a bad choice. The companies do not care about my pet like I do, but they care about my money for certain. I care more about my pet and, as it turns out, it is cheaper then buying the toxic food I was.
All natural dog food is almost becoming a catch phrase among dog food manufacturers. The site, TheDogFoodConspiracy.com, lists the six key nutrients all dogs need and you'll quickly see they can be combined right at home. Better then that, or if cooking isn't your thing, you can learn the ingredients used (including how they are marketed to confuse you), so you can find a prepared all natural dog food that really is natural. Like any industry, you'll encounter false claims. The search for healthy pet food is really common and thanks to information being quickly spread electronically, pet owners can now quickly learn what to avoid. I always recommend you consult your veterinarian and if they disagree with what I've said, I suggest you find a new one like I did.
Tip: avoid any programs that try and sell you monthly amounts of dog food, as you'll likely find preservatives in them. This is the one dynamic of prepared dog food that is unarguably responsible for many of the common diseases that kill and harm our pets.
